The Department of Intermediate Level Surgery named after Professor Yu. M. Lubensky is an educational-scientific structural sub-division of the Federal State Budget-funded Educational Institution of Higher Education ‘Prof. Voino-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University’ that carries out educational, methodological, scientific-research, organizational and training work in Faculty Surgery.
The Department is headed by Doctor of Medical Science, Professor Dmitriy E. Zdzitovetskiy
Practical classes are held in “Intermediate Level Surgery, Urology” (division “Intermediate Level Surgery” for the 4th-year students in General Medicine and in ‘In-depth Study of Surgery” (additional course) for the 6th-year students in General Medicine.
Clinical residents are also trained at the Department to get a specialization in surgery.
In the training process, modern educational methods and techniques are used, as well as visual aids and information technologies.
The teaching hospital of the Department is Krasnoyarsk Interdistrict Clinical Emergency Hospital named after N.S. Karpovich.
Currently, 2 full-time postgraduate students are studying at our department with the approved topics of their research. These issues under study are "Planning and prognosis of treatment outcomes for acute pancreatitis" and "Optimization of treatment tactics in the acute period of severe abdominal trauma based on adverse outcome risk stratification".
