Structure

The Department of the Health Care Mobilization Training, Disaster Medicine and Emergency Aid with a post-graduate course has 14 employees (12 of them are members of the teaching staff).

Oleg A. Shtegman, Doctor of Medical Science, Associate Professor, is the Head of the Department.

The course of Post-diploma Education is carried out by Andrei Andreevich Lyubchenko, Sergey Alexandrovich Ustyugov, Andrei Alekseevich Popov, Elena Anatolyevna Popova, Maria Andreevna Bolshakova, and Irina Ivanovna Lisun. Competences

The Department is one of the major divisions of the medical University, where students of all faculties are trained. The disciplines "Life Safety", "Disaster Medicine" and "Emergency Conditions in the Practice of a Dentist" are taught at different courses, depending on the direction of training. In addition, the Department trains clinical residents in the specialty "Emergency medical care". Clinical residents are trained in "Mobilization Training in Health Care" and "Transfusiology". The Department trains doctors and paramedics in "Emergency Medical Care" and "Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Examination of Motor Vehicles Drivers". Courses of "Transfusiology" and "Toxicology" are also taught for practicing doctors.

Students develop the following competencies:

  • readiness to use first aid techniques, methods of protection in emergency situations;
  • ability and readiness to conduct anti-epidemic measures, organize protection of the population in the foci of especially dangerous infections, with the deterioration of the radiation situation, natural disasters and other emergencies;
  • readiness to participate in providing medical assistance in emergency situations, including participation in medical evacuation;
