They are dedicated to the main stages of the activities and life of an outstanding surgeon, Professor V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky, also known as an orthodox bishop and monk Luke, canonized in 1995 under the name of St. Luke. The first exhibition section - “Artist of anatomy and surgery” is dedicated to the formation of V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky as a doctor. The exhibition presents chronologically materials about V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky life in tzarist Russia and Tashkent period of his life in post-revolutionary country. A special exhibit is the first edition of V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky’s “Essays on purulent surgery”. The publication of this book in 1946 brought to the outstanding surgeon the world recognition in the professional medical community and the first degree of the Stalin prize. The second exposition and exhibition section of the memorial hall speaks about terrible ordeals that befell V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky during the period of repressions and his three exiles: the first Siberian exile (1923-1926), the arrest and exile to Arkhangelsk (1930-1933), the third Siberian exile (1937-1943). The section “Military surgeon” is associated with the selfless work of V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky during the great Patriotic war in Krasnoyarsk (1941-1943) . At the beginning of war the bishop Luke sent a telegram to the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR M. I. Kalinin and offered his service as a surgeon. He was transferred to Krasnoyarsk to work in the hospital for injured soldiers. Valentin Feliksovich was appointed the chief surgeon of the largest evacuational hospital No. 1515 and the consultant of all Krasnoyarsk hospitals. During the difficult war years the Krasnoyarsk medical Institute was formed. In addition to hospital work, Valentin Felixovich gave lectures to students and teachers at the newly created medical Institute. The exhibition exposes documents of his wounded soldiers consultations, written by Professor and his inkpot. There is also a shutter from the house situated in Krasnoyarsk (21, Weinbaum Str.), where V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky (Saint Luke) lived in 1941-1943. Bishop Luke also performed Church services. In early 1940s all churches in the city were closed, but thanks to him, the Church in Nikolaevka, where Valentin Feliksovich preached, began to work for Krasnoyarsk parishioners. “The service of God is all my joy, all my life, for my faith is deep...”. These words of the Bishop are reflected in the memorial hall in the section “Saint“. The exhibition demonstrates materials related to the archpastoral service of the Bishop in Tambov and Crimea (Simferopol). A copy of the monument to Archbishop Luka, an outstanding surgeon V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky is of particular interest to visitors of the hall. Boris Musat, the author of the monument, represented him as a surgeon, a priest, and a prisoner. The hands are depicted in the pose of a surgeon, the vestments are of a priest, and if you look at the monument from the side you will see a convict's jacket. The monument itself is installed in Krasnoyarsk in the city center. There are always fresh flowers at its foot. Expositions of the memorial hall are used in the educational process, students use them to make reports, presentations at conferences, thematic Olympiads. The Memorial hall is visited with great interest by guests of the University. These are our colleagues from other universities in the country and abroad.
